Environmental impact assessment (also known as Environmental Statement ES, Environmental Impact Statement EIS, and Environmental Assessment EA) is a procedure designed to ensure environmental, social, and economical implications are taken into account before development decisions are made. This procedure is underpinned by a suite of national and international legislation including the US National Environmental Policy Act NEPA, the UK The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, and the EU directive 2011/92/EU legislation.
Our interdisciplinary team of Environmental Consultants has a robust understanding of architectural and civil engineering design and is trained to undertake scoping, preparing Environmental Statements, and provide inputs into the planning applications. They deploy that knowledge to find and recommend practicable means to create and maintain conditions under which man and nature can exist in productive harmony.
They navigate your ‘proposed’ development project forward through showing how your ‘proposed’ actions are compliant with key international, national, and local legislations.
They provide “turnkey” support [to design teams, project manager, and you] from your free initial consultation meeting to filing of EIA, through collecting and collating baseline data, in identifying likely significant negative impacts, so too intertwined negative and positive impacts, in the measurement of risks, in designing reasonable preventive, mitigating and corrective measures, in measuring residual risks and in creating reasonable management and enhancement courses of action.
